Cookery Classes

 

My classes are a fun way of learning many secrets of Italian cooking.

They are Ideal for small groups (minimum 1 – maximum 8/10) and can be themed and tailored to the wishes of the students.

They can also be a birthday treat, a team building exercise  or simply an enjoyable way of getting better at cooking.


I run classes at the following cookery schools:




Lower Heyford (near Woodstock) 

WOOD FIRED PIZZA AND FOCACCIA WORKSHOP

Master the skills to mix, knead and shape a very versatile dough for Focaccia, Pizza and even Ciabatta!  At the end of the class we will enjoy  our lunch  in the garden (weather permitting!) 

Learn how to make authentic pizza using clever, easy techniques in order to be able to bake a perfect Pizza in a domestic oven or a wood fired one

At the class you will make your own dough to take home and bake later in the evening or the day after. You will shape and bake two types of focaccia and Neapolitan Margherita cooked in a wood fired oven 

 'This class is hosted by skilled Sue Brown at her Sourdough Bakery in Lower Heyford. I love sharing the knowledge with such a great colleague, Definitely my favourite class!'

'ALL ABOUT PASTA' EVENING WORKSHOP

 

Join Sue and Mariella, your truly Italian tutor and make a perfect dough with only two ingredients, roll it by hand or by machine, cut tagliatelle, pappardelle,, fill Ravioli or Tortelli and add herbs or spinach for a traditional ‘Paglia e Fieno’.

With Water based pasta (typical of the South of Italy) experiment shaping orecchiette, trofie, fusilli dressed with a traditional sauce or fresh pesto.

After making the pasta, we will prepare together the freshest pomodorino sauce in order to enjoy a dinner  together allowing time for questions, comments and a glass of wine!
